My damaged Bug!

This happened to me on Mothers day. Some crazy guy shot into the parking lot at work and head-on smashed into a Volvo...twice, then drove over to where I was, got out and asked me if his truck was o.k. and then slammed into my car!! He pushed it 7 feet into the bay it was parked infront of and damaged the rear pretty badly...he only stopped when I came at him with a 3 ft. pry bar and threatened to brain him. Now I,m stuck with a need for a number of parts, if anyone has anything local that would be perfect, It's a 65 with snowflake taillights and a louvered decklid. Also I work at Pepboys on Brainerd Rd, so if anyone needs work done come on down I'm a ASE certified Master Tech. and aircooled rides don't scare me. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this so sorry in advance if I screwed this up.

oh thats the car Rick was talkin about,Theres a super beetle that stole your paint job in East Ridge. Sorry for your loss.Nice car tho.

Thanks! I don't know if they had it done first or not, I met the girl that drives the super at bp9, my car came from Ohio about 2 months ago soooo mines prolly the new kid, just interesting that the same pattern shows up in a realitively close area. I live in Ooltewah. Was that you bugnut that was comming off 75 south going towards the new Walmart the other day when the dude with the old silver Shelby/Mustang was stuck in the middle of the road tryin' to get on 75? Looked like you had some stuff on your roof rack.

Seen you several times in Ooltewah and just the other day in the Pep Boys parking lot. I was in a tan/brown bus taking pictures of your beetle with my phone. Nice ride! Sorry about the damage.

Thanks Gobusgo, I saw you looking at my car after leaving the Harbor Freight, looks like your bus is in great shape!
Gehackt, the dude was DUI on prescription drugs and was depressed in my opinion. When he asked me if his truck was o.k. I asked him if he was o.k. and he said he was then added "it didn't kill me did it?" I guess he wanted someone else to do it....after I saw my car I felt like killing him!!! Anyway now I get to try and get some money from his insurance company :roll: :roll: What a pain!!

Stand by your Guns A.C. Unless things have changed, his ins. co. might try to total your car seening how Its " just an old Bug".
This very thing happened to me a number of years ago but in the end the other guy's Ins. bought the most expensive '56 Vert in the country and on top of that I got to keep the car and repaired it myselve.

I havent seen your car around yet (but have seen the one on ringgold)... but i like harbor freight and am bound to be there soon!

No bueno! You don't happen to drive a black mkII gti do you? I used to see one parked at the same pep boys from time to time when I went to harbor freight.

Yeah that was mine, it was a 2.0 8v swap on the spray. The bug is it's replacement.
