Your bug can go 80mph? David did you hear that?

I have had it up to 90-ish once, just to see if it would do it, engine wasn't liking it too well...
The ASBug seems to like it at 70+, but I always seem to be running alittle rich on the carbie side...
Like I posted earlier, I have pulled up beside 2 of my wife's friends on the interstate and called them and asked what they were running on there speedos, both times I was dead on @ 75MPH with my speedo, (then I would floor it and pass their mini vans!!!).

On the samba I saw an old metal tag for sale and it stated:
"Volkswagened - You were just passed by 60 hp!"
We need some of these for the show to sell...

I keep close track on my MPG on both cars with Fuelly. For instance, I can tell a big difference in economy going from a carb to FI. I went from averaging 13.15 MPG to 16.7.

I loved the res.fuel tap . Brian, If you set the little lever on the fuel tap half way between full tank and reserve settings and somebody steals the car, they will get just about a mile before it runs out of gas.

I only made it a quarter of the way around Hamilton Place mall.  I had forgot that I had turned it off and boy did it scare me when that engine started going out.

Reserve fuel tap is where it is at. I haven't seen many reliable fuel guages yet. They should have kept those.
