little red light

« on: June 05, 2009, 09:06:11 AM »
FeeBee died at the stop sign this morning and a little red "G" light came on I'm guessing generator...She started back up but every time I stopped she tried to die again and the little red light came on. Is that a sign of bad things to come?
I'm thinking a new forum for FeeBee and Stupie would be in order

G lights come on when the rps go really low.
Mine will do it from time to time when the engine is still cold and the choke has finished opening.  (gotta adjust that...) goes away when car is fully warmed up.  My stripped out aluminum intake boot clamps caused a simular problem when the car was warmed up.  replaced with some nice SSteel ones and presto, it idled MUCH better.  Don't you work in Fort O?
If you want me to come and look at it, I can at lunch, I am in Chickamauga.

As K.C. says, The gen. light will come on if the idle gets really slow and of course will come on if the engine stalls.  If it goes out everytime you re-start the engine you should be OK. I'm going to blame it on the adjustment, Idle solenoid crapping out (or the wire fell off) Trash in the Idle circuit  of that wonderful carb you just had to have

Yep !!  The 34 Debby is running now is a brand new one. I told her if she wants to drive her car instead of working on it, Get a 30-31 kit. She went to Mainley  and they said they had never heard of a 30-31 kit and sold her a new 34.  I wanted to choke her .
As far as your carb, I haven't had much trouble getting them idle. But dealing with the Flat spot was the biggie.  I have just about done everything to get those 34's to run right. You can fix it one time and then the next day you start over again. :(

Ok, well...whatever. I can't afford a 30-31 kit right now because I spent all my money on the 34 and I need a tranny and a steering box so just keep me running till I get some blow cash  Crazy because I just got her back from R&M Wednesday why couldn't she mess up while she was there?
How's Stupie? Has he recovered from the deer thing? I'm at work and I'm bored

Well that makes no sense at all. Why not put on a carb that does not need a adapter that would save money....Don't blow a gasket I'm just messing with you  But you see my point    I will see what I can find and get back wich ya

FeeBee is a duel port.  The 34 carb is the ONLY carb that will just bolt on.  The 30-31 has a smaller bolt pattern so you have to use the adapter. One side the adapter is for the duel port manifold(bigger) and the flip side is for the 30-31 carb.(smaller)  Trust me on this one get the 30-31 carb kit with the adapter. Pretty please !!!!!! Jezzz !
All together now ,on the count of 3    Can we say ADAPTER

A D A P T E R got it  So if I can sell this brand new beautiful 34 pic I can buy a 31 and your life will be much easier and my life will last a little longer. Thanks David you are the bomb....I would be willing to trade this carb for a new steering box :) (smile)
