ok here goes i pulled the 69 ghia out its been siting for a coulpe years oops it was last taged in o4 driven in 05  ready to get work done and back on road  pulled trunk release up it came gas cap  and well the hood is still closed now the cable is hanging on wall  now what trash the hood or is there a trick

i know on the bugs you can cut the handle in 3 pieces and unsrew it to open the hood, not sure if ghia is the same

There is a lower horn bellows on the nose.... I have gone through the hole and released the trunk lid before, but it's been a while.

Aw, crap....  :-\

In that case, mangle sheet metal on the engine.  You can replace that a lot cheaper than a decklid, Alan.  I can't remember if there is  a way to access that one from underneath.  maybe cut a small hole under the latch?   :-\

aw crap not even close to the words i used  when this was my exes car every time hood was raised i sprayed it  now this hood is rotten so no loss just didnt want to replace it yet

ok with a little rust removed and still 12 inches of wire left and fished out the cable ruster in to where it runs close to batery  noy i know where to drill and plug hole for future problems and will be fabing up contraption for future use
