Seriously, though, have you tried heat? Propane torch? PB Blaster (almost typed BP Blaster-that's a different problem entirely)?

Get in touch with Kyle and see if he'll hit it with his 1" drive impact.  SOMETHING will spin . . . it may be you or the engine, but something will give.

You can swing it by the shop and we will give it a try for ya...I got a new impact the other day that is supposed to be around 1200 ft lbs...It may work. ;D  Sometimes though, the gun is strong enough it's holding everything else still thats the problem.

be careful using heat and pb blaster worked with a tech who did that and got the fumes in his eye and it paralized his eye lid for about a week and he couldn't close his eye, not fun

I'll bring it by someone's shop before too long... But for now, I'm gonna have to sideline everything. I'm getting married tomorrow. I'll try to get it taken care of before the beginning of august. I'm certain it can come loose somehow

Whew! I survived that part, now we just have to live together for the rest of our lives :o I have recently noticed some perks though. Most notably is the fact that she an now run parts around for me  ;D I placed the tough gland nut engine in the back of my dads truck (she still  has trouble with my manual truck) and if I can't get to it quickly, she has days off so she can run it to a shop to see if they can knock it off. This marriage thing might be alright after all

Happy day! Finally got the gland nut loose! After almost a month! I took it by R and M and rick popped it right off with that new impact. It took maybe 4 seconds, literally. I'm super happy. Now I just have to piece it all back together and bolt it in.

I already removed the broken stud and have another to go back in. Lets hope it all goes smoothly

thanks again Rick K!

He certainly made it look easy.

The hard part was getting it out of the truck by myself without that jack you've got. I got to thinking... WWSCD? push the baja around towards the porch swing. Remove Porch swing. install a block. put the baja in gear...Nope, kept rolling (engine was in the truck). 4 bricks block tires. Winch out. Put truck on porch. Winch in. Drive truck away. Winch out til engine on motorcycle jack.

Now I just have to torque everything down and throw it back in... I hope the clutch chatter is gone.

You are a brave man. If I did that the whole dang overhang would be on top me.  By the way ,what is the tire size on the front tires on the Baja ?   The rims look stock.  That is the tire that I want to put on my Type-82e (Reinhart) if they are't to big

they are from Coker. They are the 7.00 x 15s NDTs or something. It was the only military 700 x 15s they had in stock.
they kinda fit... The rubbed alot until I spaced them out 1'' each. Now they only rub at full turn. It's not bad and would benefit from a lift. If you get yours set up, we can bolt them on to try the fit...if I still have the baja by then

btw they are tubed tires and tough to balance

NDCCs, not NDTs. NDCCs have the rounded edges, NDTs are squared off.
