Any indication of who you are before anyone who might know speaks up?

Rick still visits these forums occasionally.  I'm sure he will respond when he sees your post.  As hinted at by a couple of others, he is trying to keep a low profile in the air-cooled world and is taking on very little, IF ANY, mechanic work on the side these days.  I think he still mechanics for a living, but I'm not sure where he is currently employed.

I was referred to him by Volks Folks past Prez Brian Dempsey.  I have a 69 Ghia that I'm wanting a lil work done to and Brian recommended Ricky.

Yep, I do still visit here... just been a crazy summer... so much for things calming down when the girls got out of school.

Honestly, I am no longer taking on anything at home.  I have discovered that with three daughters in three schools this past school year that the idea of me having time to do so much as an oil change at the house was foolish.  For the longest time I felt an obligation to keep every air-cooled car in Chattanooga on the road, but my family is my priority, as it should be, and  the two just don't mix.  Simple stuff that should take days sat at my house for weeks and months.  I have one long-termer that snow-balled into a major deal, and that will most certainly be my last.  I have only recently had time to concentrate once again on that one.  I tried to make it clear with everybody that I am SLOW on side work, VERY Slow, and everybody said that was okay, but for some reason me telling them to give me a couple of weeks and them calling two days later to check on the status... that wasn't going so well.... So, rather than having anybody else upset with me, I just simply started saying "No".

You can send me a pm on here, might be something we can cover at work.  But the owner is VERY selective about what we do take in here.   I am at Mountain Service Imports on Signal Mountain now.
