Heater channel replacement

« on: May 07, 2014, 09:09:03 PM »
Looks like i will eventually need to get my heater channels replaced before I do any finish work inside. Thought about doing it myself until I did some research, beyond my comfort level. Who is the go to person or place for this work around Chattanooga?

I tried it once... I gave up. I ended up buying another body and making a baja. I still have a heater channel left from scraping the bad body. It would take a lot of work to do it yourself. I have heard that the guy in Kingsport does good work for reasonable prices. I think he is called Happy Valley or something. He is listed on the samba with the user name SlowLow. J-3 restorations in Columbia TN would also probably do it. I think there is a shop down in Ellijay, maybe vintage something. I can't remember all of the names off hand. I'll look them up tomorrow.
