Headliner, 1959

Have a '59 Bug with off white color headliner, think it is original. We were looking to replace but ordered one that we realize is a reproduction fabric but is nowhere close to fabric that is currently in car. Fabric in car has more texture than what we have recieved, this that we ordered is more like a velour type fabric. Can anyone out there help us to know what we have or what we need? Thanks

I think the most authentic headliner for a 59 would be Wolfsberg West's stuff. check them out.

If I remember correctly, The headliners were all cloth in those days, kinda fuzzy but not velour. My brand new '61 bug had a snow white  cloth headliner. I don't recall any other color than white when I worked at the dealer back then. My new '64 had vinyl. I think they went to vinyl in '63.
West Coast Metric would be my pick. You need to talk to someone out there just to be sure I haven't led you down the "garden path" with all this info.
