Oh come on. You didn't stress me out. You know better than that ;D This is what the forums are for. Sometimes it gets a little boring around here and one has to light a fire once in awhile ;) ;)

the 8mm studs are about as round as a #2 pencil. The 10mm studs are about as round as the fat pencils you used in kindergarden. If there is any confusion, get a caliper and measure the stud diameter. One is 8mm, the other is 10mm. The wrench needed for the nut is not accurate (especially with VW's unique bolts!).
Explain "wrench needed for the nut is not accurate"

That means its not a 15mm stud...

Until someone explains it to the unknowing, most will tell you it's a 15mm stud because they used a 15mm wrench to take the nut off. One of the first things I learned when I became a Sulzer technician training instructor at work was that can't assume that the trainee brings ANY knowledge what-so-ever to the table with them.
It’s kind'a like telling a little kid to "Get in the shower."  Some of ‘em will come back a little while later, cleaned up and wearing clean clothes.  Some of ‘em you have to explain "Go in the bathroom. Take off all your clothes.  Clothes includes your socks and shoes!  Step into the bathtub.  Pull the shower curtain closed.  Make sure the liner is INSIDE the tub.  Turn on the water and adjust the temperature so it’s comfortable.  Flip the lever to make the water start coming out of the shower head.  Get wet from head to toe.  Put soap on a washcloth and scrub your entire body.  Rinse all the soap off.  Put some shampoo in your hand and rub it all in your hair.  Rinse it out . . . . well, you get the picture.  If you don’t give EVERY detail, some of them will go get in the shower with all their clothes on and stand there wondering “Why did he tell me to do this?”   ;D

Well , Isn't this the way you have to try to explain to someone to try to help someone repair something when they have no clue how to explain something to you via internet.  Its like pulling teeth. Thats why you have to back up to the itch before you start telling where to scratch step by step by step. Info, info, info.
