I doesn't really matter what kind of vehicle it is, if it's over 20 years old, has over 150,000 miles on it and has been sitting for several years, you "might" want to change the fuel filter. My '84 S-10 died on me on the way home from work Thursday. After I got home (on a roll-back), I finally got the fittings broke loose and got the filter out of the carb. The fitting looked like someone had packed rust powder in it and pressed it in under a few thousand pounds pressure. Now I know why it quit running on the way home from work, but I'm still trying to figure out why it didn't quit running a long time ago.
