Fuel filters

Al Johnson VW didn't have them.

Auto Zone didn't have them.

Any ideas on where I can pick some up for my Jetta diesel? Ret. Bugtech mentioned Mainly downtown, but that's a bit far of a drive for me just to get a fuel filter.

I scored a fuel filter from Joe up at Tri-State Import. I probably ended up driving farther than I would to downtown Chattanooga, but I got the part for no cash in exchange for adding some pictures to his website.

You might have to drive a little further to get to Joe's place, but even if you pay Joe's full retail price, and burn a little more fuel, you'll still come out cheaper than driving to downtown Chattanooga if Mainly Foreign is where you would have bought it!

Joe's retail price was only $15 for the filter, which is pretty cheap. Plus since there's no way for me to make it there by 5 when he closes, he's nice enough to leave things in the drop box for me.

Anyways I figured out how to put it in, and if I'm not mistaken it looks like the reservoir that holds condensation from the fuel system is built into the same unit. Is that correct? If so, I guess I don't have to drain it now since I just replaced the whole thing.
