Now that I have the donor body, can anyone give any insight as to how to remove the panel?

I'd cut the donor section out with the rocker still attatched, then seperate that from the a pillar/ inner flitch panel (quarter, sorry)... then overlap the inner quarter area over the lower part of the existing, and weld up the base to the top of the rocker.  D not cut into the old rocker if you can avoid it....it'll be a heck of a lot more work if the rocker is damaged as well, b/c your heat riser/ defroster tubes ( :lol: ) come up through that corner, down low by the door hinge.  upper cut? id just graft it in all the way up the door edge, then leave all of the donor trunk lid lip intact.  This is operating off of the idea that i believe you said there was bondo in the a-pillar.
