I just got my first VW service manual today and I thought I would share this hilarious tip from the inside cover:

"Tie long hair behind your head"
:rr:
It's a beautiful book, man, a beautiful book.

Bentley books are very good almost as good as the Original VW factory/shop manuals with complete part #'s for every stinking piece on that van.  You also may think that the Bentley was a little pricey. Try buying a original, that is if you can find one

I bought a part at the VW  dealer in Dalton 20 years ago,  and he said want a shop manual for 7 bucks.  I bought it for my 71 westy.  Now known as shower bus.  I think I let the shop manual go with the westy for $300 bucks.

Did you leave a bunch of old VW magazines in it when you sold it?  There was box of 'em in the back when I got it, but I guess Stuart kept the shop manual.  Maybe that's why he let it go for $150.
