For crying out loud !!!!    Are you still running that dang big electric pump ?  Why did you put that thing on in the first place? It will never run right with a 30 psi pump. All that car needs is about a 3-4 psi.( like the orig. or a Facet brand electric pump) You are going to wipe that engine out by pumping to much fuel through it if you haven't done it already.

I not sure I am following you.   You change out a ELECTRIC pump to another ELECTRIC pump or changed out the orig. MECHANICAL (factory)pump to a ELECTRIC pump ? The original mech.factory pump does not make any noise at all . The FACET BRAND electrical pump makes a clicking noise(no humming) for about 3-4 sec.when you turn on the Ing. switch. The Facet electrical pump is the only electrical pump that will work without flooding the engine to death. Do you understand this ?

Yes ;D We changed out a electric pump with a low pressure electric pump....here's the deal when you turn the switch (not start it) it makes a hummmmm. It already had a electric fuel pump. Oh and I got new running boards for it ;D

Let me add that when we got her back from Rick she was perfect. She pulled my driveway in second gear...I have bought everything that I was told to buy..The carb, distributor and she is still running to rich. I start her the way I am supposed to gas pedal to the floor once then start. I let her warm up before I go anywhere. I am beginning to wonder if this car is possessed?

What is the brand of the new electric pump ?  You say low pressure on the new pump ?   Do you know the spec's on the pump ?   pressures etc.
Be sure that your oil level is normal and not overfull with a gas/oil mix
