Flashers -- '75 bus

I just got my first VW RV -- wha-hoo. However I see that next to my High Beam and Hazard relay that I have about three to four spots left, also my blinkers don't work. I went to a foriegn autoparts store but I have to have the actual PN for it. Does anyone know: 1. where I can find out the PNs or 2. does anyone know what "manual" can provide that info? I bought a Haynes but it doesn't go into that much detail. -- Junk yard?, Mechanic?

Maybe the flasher relay is the same in my '78 and '79 buses. Let me look and get back to you.

There are some good wiring diagrams on http://www.type2.com . . . look in the library under the electrical section and find the one for your bus. The older diagrams were real easy to read and understand, but the ones for 73 and later can be a tricky to understand. The diagram won't give you the part #s, but you still might find it usefull. There is ton of other information about buses on that site as well.

as far as manuals i would say the bentley and a print out of this: http://www.notcompensating.com/fimanual/AFC%20Manual.pdf are a must have.

as far as your blinkers... mine havent worked for two years

The flasher relay part number is 111953227D. This is the one for Beetles, Buses, Type 3s '71-'79.
