Ok I'm getting the urge again.....FeeBee has been in storage for the past couple of months. I went to start her up this weekend and she started right up no problemo. Here's the problem(s) We set the time and adjusted the carb, points everything the book said to do but she keeps fouling plugs and just will not run. Backfires, sluggish. It's all by the book what could the problem be? This is getting serious folks. I plan on dragging her back to our garage in the next couple of weeks and getting Rick back on her so it would be good to give him something to look for. If you see him out don't tell him I'm bringing her home I want it to be a surprise.  WHAT SHOULD HE LOOK FOR?

Is the electric choke hooked up and or adjusted right?
That would cause it to start well then foul out plugs after a short distance.
Have your husband start the engine and run it for a few (3 or so) minutes, then turn off the engine and take off the air filter located on the carb.
Look at the top choke plate, if it is still closed, loosen (DO NOT REMOVE) the 3 screws holding the electric choke element (the thing with the wire hooked to in on the top right side of the carb) (at least it is supposed to have a wire on it) and adjust it till it opens.

That might just be your problem.  The carb will not be adjusted correctly out of the box.

Just a thought,
KC
