Sort of on the same subject ,The US navy has issued an open contract to any one with a Feasable plan to convert coal into jet fuel. The funds are supposedly already approved and the land set aside to build a plant for it.

Fortunaltely were the Saudi Arabia of coal, unfortunatley we use it for heating nadproducing electricity. After the Navy make jet fuel outta it how long untill the airlines do? Then rising cost for elctricity wil follow.

I agree with David you can fix a hundred year old problem over night. Ad until there is imenent danger to ever single American they wont listen any more today than they have in the last 40 years.

Does anyone make a Cat. Converter for Bovines ?  I drove past Mayfields not to long ago and don't recall seeing any of Scotty Mayfields cows walking around with Cat. Converters hanging out of their Butts.
Hey S.C. Have you not heard of Corn "Licker"  or Old Barley Corn ?
Scott, I saw a thing on the One Eyed Cyclops that the U.S.A.F. is already flying some B-52s with fuel made from coal.

I ran out of gas,  I blame ethanol,  My Suburu  has a stuck gas gauge.   It will end propulsion at 380 miles.  My rule is refill at 350 miles.  I was walking the side of the road  at 330 miles at High noon last Thursday.  I'm so angry.  maybe I'll fix the sender.  SC
