EFI vacuum hoses being reproduced

« on: May 02, 2012, 01:26:14 PM »
Interesting for anyone who is working on a fuel injected bus or Vanagon, there is a guy on The Samba reproducing some of the molded vacuum hoses that are NLA. He's making them out of silicone, and you can get the L-shaped hose coming from the oil breather here:

And the Vanagon version here:

He's also got the C-shaped hose that connects to the decel valve that is sometimes hard to find:

He's also got some hose kits and other things for early water-cooled engines:

It's not cheap, but considering no one else is reproducing some of these hoses, it can be a bargain if you can't find it anywhere else.

I have always just used the formed radiator hoses from the Flaps.
I just take the old ones with me.
You'd be surprised what you can find.
On both the '75 and the '76 westy I had good success.
