So after installing the bowden tube, breaking the nose cone, and replacing the nose cone, something doesn't seem right.

The clutch tube (where the bowden tube slides over it) move in and out (along a larger hole since the nose cone broke) and I have lost the bend in the bowden tube. The clutch seems close to right, but not exactly perfect (what is perfect anyways...?!?!)

Where is the rear weld on the clutch tube and how can I tell if mine has crapped out?

Take the cover off that is covering the shift coupler and you will see the tube on the right side( biggest tube)  You will see where the tube was welded to the the tunnel. If the tube moves in and out you have most likely broke the weld up front ahead of the shifter. You mention the tunnel had a hole cut into it.  Was it on the right side a little forward of the shifter ?   If so, it was more than likely has been repaired before. If the hole is still there you should be able to see the tube and the bracket it was welded to. You should be able to hear the tube rattling/squeaking around when you mash the clutch pedal in and out (Engine not running).

If YOU choose to weld it up, be sure to take the flex-tube off so you can shove the tube back toward the rear . It  should stick out of the pan about 1/2 inch.  You can braze the front weld on the bracket but be careful as you have the fuel line close by

the rear weld is broken. I looked at last night. It also turns out that the tube broke off at the weld...so about 4 inches is loose on the cable and crammed up against the long portion of tube that is still in the tunnel.... If it had just been a reweld the tube job, it'd be done already, but I wanted to consult before doing tube graft surgery

Is the tube broken off where you can reach it with a torch ?  If so I would be temped to put a sleeve of some kind over the break and weld the thing back together and weld the whole thing back to the chassis using the broken piece to go toward the rear so your flex-tube will fit . I hope you understand all of this. ;D  I would take the clutch cable out so you won't weld it to the tube by accident. Its been done before  but I'm not saying by who ::) :-X
