I would love to see him change that belt if it was tensioned right. It was about to fall off anyway.
Alright Smelly Cat. Don't even think about it

I gave it a try last night. Do you have a video that shows how to re-install fingers in five seconds? Thanks.

Years ago I tried that trick with a pipe.  The only  problem was I was smoking the pipe. I had the car on a lift tuning the Critter up and I turned around forgetting I had the pipe in my mouth and stuck thing in the fan belt. It jerked the pipe of my mouth and ended up hitting me in head . If you haven't been hit buy Prince Albert you haven't lived.  The score, 40 HP 100, Dumb Ass Mechanic - Naught ( or knot) :withstupid:

I learned to keep my fingers far away from belts years ago on a Corvair.  It had a couple of teeth chewed off the starter ring, so I had to sometimes get out, grab the belt and rotate the engine a little to get it started.  I was doing that one time and my ex-wife hit the switch to see if I had moved it yet . . . I had, but my hands were still on the belt.  Good thing it was easy to knock the belt off of a Corvair generator!  My fingers stayed attached . . . but it still hurt like a @#@#%@%@%@#%!!!

Things learned from "Kelso"
1)- Run your belts so loose that they will slip when you need the genny.
2)- ALWAYS, ALWAYS mount your fuel filter in the engine compartment, it is sooo easy to see it melt when the engine catches on fire...

It was cool to watch, but I kept expecting to see him loose a finger.
