Scott, Is this the engine you want to build your modified on or are you looking at starting with new "stuff"
If you are going to go with the second engine idea, I think you need to build your stock engine yourselve. I can hide and watch to keep you out of trouble and not lead you down the garden path.
I can alignbore your case if need be, show you how to do your cly. heads, check your crankshaft etc etc.
The reasons that I am not thrilled about building a modified engine for someone else is that it seems you have to "fiddle around" with the dang thing to get it right sometimes. Might be 15 min. or may take a while. Reason #2 is that there is so much new and better stuff out there now that its better left to someone who knows what it is and how to use it.
Reason #3 is I don't want to have to explain to the customer why his very expensive engine took a dump at 30,000 miles or less.
I don't care who builds the engine, if you start making Big Horse Power you will pay the price in the long run. You just can not double or triple the horse power and expect it to "Hang In" there for miles without something going wrong.
If you want to wrinkle up the asphalt and "Blow" your neigbors Rambler off, buy a Cobra.
