ok so on the way to the cruise in last night, I noticed my bus seemed to be needing alot more gas than usual to move down the road... even died on me at a red light. after talking to the godfather, we both agreed maybe the bus was out of time (I had just replaced the oil pressure switch, which I had to turn the distributor to get to) .  I made it home from the cruise in last night, but as I got closer to home it seemd like the motor was wanting to move, but the bus just wasnt going.....the shifts were good and firm, but it was having to downshift in places ive never had to before just to go...(from having to push on the gas more). Today I retimed the motor, took off the exhaust, re-filed the heater box pipes, and put everything back together.... motor runs good, exhaust is 10 times quiter.. revs good...so I decide to take it down the street for a test run. Right away in reverse it wanted to kill the motor while backing out of my driveway... then at the bottom of my street, it was fighting to keep the motor going while stopped. I had to keep on the gas to keep the motor going.... as I pulled out, i felt like I was fighting to move, almost like trying to drive while holding your foot on the brakes.... (also keep in mind I dont use my parking brake ever, so I know its not stuck... also no smoke or heat from the brakes, so I know its not those either. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

also things that have already been replaced:

rear wheel bearings
master cylinder
rear axles/joints

and another note... the tranny has plenty of fluid on the stick, and still even now shifts good and firm, along with the downshifts... but I've not checked the fluid in the diff.

Check your diff. gear lube and see if it needs some or if the ATF and gear lube are mixing. Is you ATF still a reddish color ? I would also jack up the rear end  and check for a dragging brake or something to just make sure. Even new "stuff" can fail

fluid on the stick is nice and red, but overfilled about half an inch up the stick. had to go buy a 17mm hex for the diff drain plug, I'll check it tommorrow hopefully. the auto tranny being overfilled wouldnt cause this would it? the pan leaks, so I guess it would be a good time to replace the pan seal anyways... maybe check the screen while I have it off..... any ideas?
