Is there a big difference between Triple Chrome & Show chrome bumpers besides the extra $20-30 more for show chrome.  
Keep hearing to many horror stories about bumpers and how they start rusting within a couple months. Does Show chrome add more chrome, make it more glossier?  Will they both rust in the same amount of time?  If I can't get German ones, would like to get something that may last a little longer than a couple months.
Is there something on the market to protect them longer?

Ron, No question that more plating you have, the longer they last.Just make sure that if you buy new bumpers with more plating ,that is what you are getting. You can tell a lot just buy looking at them. As you probley know by now , there is a lot of crap out there. Use your own judgement and spend what you can afford to make your car look good to you. Old Bugs use to have great chrome at one time .

From what I've seen, "Triple Chrome" and "Show Chrome" are used interchangably . . . as opposed to the cheap "Single Chrome" bumpers that start rusting the day they are plated.

Several years ago Chuck at Mainly quit handling the cheap bumpers 'cause folks were bringing them back the week after he sold them.  I remember looking at the last "cheap" one he had.  It was REAL cheap.  Something like $19 for a front bumber for a '69.  He made it clear that it was crap, it would rust, he wouldn't stand behind it, and it would be the last one of them he would ever try to sell.
