brakes

« on: May 26, 2009, 09:15:52 AM »
I have noticed the past few week my brakes had started squealing on and off now my pedal is catching about halfway to the floor.  I am stopping but not very well...Also I am having the fron end lined up today should I wait on that till I have my brakes checked?

I would have Rick at R-M check your brake shoes for wear.   An adjustment might take care of it.   Alignment shouldn't effect your brakes.   Have you replaced your steering box yet and had the rest of the front end inspected for worn out "stuff" ?  Worn out parts on the front end would effect alignment.

Good Morning David...The steering box is next I found a few online new for $149.00. All the front end parts are new but I will have them checked along with the brakes. Rick is the one who fixed my brakes last year so I will give him a call.

Are you going to the Krystal this weekend?

We will be there as long as it doesn't rain.  No top yet Dang it.   Not a bad price for a NEW box. They are not much fun to install though.
