I got another MS.  I took the 1st one i bought off, Popped it open.    The rubber seals in it are kinda hard and not flexible like expected.  I though I might see a torn or used one, but they looked new, the inside is smooth. The 2nd MS is a Varga.  maybe it will work.  SC

im a failure,  New MS, all shiny and new.  nothing.  Ok the fronts are all new and the backs are 3 years old.   Maybe I have gunk in the back lines  lines ,  the far back left, has little pressure and is not leaking,  Im going to unleash the flex line and see if something is clogged.

Do you have any "free play" between the M.C. and the Pushrod off the pedal ? You can feel it. If you don't have any play, this can cause all kinds of bad things.  You need about 1/8 or 1/4 inch of free play. The rod is adjustable.

Exactly...what the Godfather said.  The freeplay is very important.

a dark cloud of gloom hangs over Stupie.  Franks was busy so I had my neighor Danny help me work on this.  We ran about a can of dot fluid thru the system,  bleeding the brakes.  Nothing.

The pedal is tight.  maybe 1/8 inch pedal play. Hopefull THurs I'll get a handle on this

Today,  pulled off the back left drum.  the wheel cyl was frozen on one side and leaking a little on the other.  I took it apart.  It was full of rubber chunks.  every thing else looked ok, so i washed it in the sink,  put it back together.  Jeepers,  I just put that in 3 years ago.,  I'm jumping up and down on the tire iron trying to get the last lug off the right wheel. While I did this ,Stupie rolled of the wood blocks it was resting on.  Now one side of the front is sitting on the drum on the ground.  Great day.

Oh ya.  Bilo had chicken breasts for 99 cents so I got a package.   WHile lighting the grill.  the cookie pan that was holding all the chicken  slipped of the grill in to dirt.  Thank goodness the 3 dogs were there to make a run at all that chicken while I'm trying to pick it up.  I left it and ordered Pizza.  good times   SC

One of the previous owners had replaced the front wheel cylinders and the master on the double cab, 3 years ago now.....

Bled the brakes today.....

Best damned pedal i ever had on a bus.   :)

I guess the trick is buying parts, bolting them up, and let it sit in the elements for several years before installing the hoses and lines, and trying to bleed them.   ;)

Update,  order a MS from italy  Brand new one,   I'm Feeling Lucky,   I fill it with oil on the bench,  Installed it,  Before I step in the pedal ,  I pressure bleed,  all the wheels ,  then  I get my Kid to pump the brakes etc,  He says the pedal is building up, ,

So I say "let me try" ,  and the pedal fades to the floor,

I am changing directions.  Is there a place that air can get into the system?   If air is getting in,  why does fluid not go out some were?  Help Meeeeeeeeeee!   SC

Ok ,  Success,   It only took 2 rebuilt MS and a new one  and this vital info.

I finally found this in a long thread on brakes.   Something about being air locked.  The fix is to push pedal to floor.  Bleed a back brake, tighten,  then bleed the front and tighten.  Then release the pedal. Repeat.  Real good exercise.   I did this a few times and started to get some pedal.  I have never heard of this before.  Kind of makes sense to so you don't suck air back into the MS .  .  SC.
