For those who keep hearing everyone talk praises of bosch parts, believe them. My reg went out and in a jam I put on one from pepboys. My generator went up like a roman candle and I drove to Sevierville in a chevy to get parts. I ws lucky enough to have a gen that was only made for 2 years and is a pain to find. Any way I ended up with a Bosch reg but the damage was done so I spent a day replacing the gen and now it's fine. It's not that I'm an all original nut but I will never stray again. Even the plugs I got a few weeks ago foulded out and were replaced with Bosch.
So do your self the favor and bone up the cash the first time.

Thank ya bugnut, you speak nothing but the truth.. Man o man. Pep boys and aooto zone and adhance has nothing. They have a picture of a beetle in there business hanging from the celing, but they have nothing to do with a bug. That is false advertising..

I found some Bosch oil filters the other day. Bosch didn't make oil filters "back in the day" (from what I've heard).
I thought, "Cool, Bosch oil filters."
Asked Joe up at TriState about them. He said they are made by some company in North (or South, I can't remember) Carolina. They are just licensed to put the Bosch name on them.
As for the rest of the Bosch stuff (electrical mish-mosh, plugs, tune-up stuff) it is DA BOMB! :wink:

An imaginary advertisement for Bosch:
"My buses are finicky...they demand Bosch parts."

I don't know about that. There is something right pretty about watching a 200 watt " sparkler " whizzing past you on the road. :lol: :lol:
