2003 Jetta Wagon problems

Not really problems, more like oddities really...wondering if anyone has some leads.

First one:
I don't get a 'beep' when the alarm is armed. All the doors including the hood are shut tight The alarm arms fine. I just don't know why it doesn't beep. It's possible this could have been turned off with the VAG-COM, but it'll be a little while before I can check. Just wondering if there was something else to troubleshoot.

Second one:
My parking lights don't come on when you turn on the headlights. These are the small amber lights next to the headlights. I know they work because they blink when you turn on the turn signals, and the side marker lights work just fine, just not the parking lights on the front.

If anyone has some clues, I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh, I remember the other thing I was going to ask. I got the car aligned and it drives very straight, however the steering wheel is crooked. Can the steering wheel itself be adjusted? I know on my older Jetta I could just unbolt it and reposition it easily.  But this one has an airbag and I'm afraid to do anything with it.
