The 2012 Bavarian Run will be held on September 15th. Meet at the VW plant in Chattanooga at 8:00 AM and depart for Helen, GA with a brief stop at the Olympic Rec. center on Highway 64. I do not know what car I'll be driving, but it'll be a VW...

Is the pace of this drive friendly to ACVW's?

It's predominantly air-cooled and it's a slower, easy route.

Typically the weekend the club goes camping and last year also the weekend of the cruise in at Coker...did it conflict last year or did the run get moved?

I thought it was this weekend and was sad that we were going to miss it. Happy I was wrong. Definitely want to make it this year.

The Bavarian Run is always the opening weekend of Oktoberfest in Helen and coincides with the parade through town. |

Yeah we just got back from SoWo, it was huge. I think I read like over 2500 cars registered.

I just called and made our reservations for Sept 15th at the Alpine Village Inn in Helen. They still have rooms available, and if I remember right the rate is $99 during Oktoberfest. (706) 878-2296
