The Countdown to Bug-a-Paluza

Spring is here and Bug-a-Paluza 12 is right around the corner. Our show is held April 16-18, 2010 at Camp Jordan in East Ridge, TN. If you haven't pre-registered yet, our deadline has been extended to April 9.

There are many events planned for the weekend, including two live bands, authentic German food, Friday night opening ceremony, and more.

All proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga.

The countdown is on to Bug-a-Paluza 12, our annual VW show, swap meet, and campout. Bug-a-Paluza is the only show featuring two live bands, on Friday night and Saturday night.

There's 45 show classes for air-cooled and water-cooled VWs, authentic German food, a huge swap meet, and lots more.

February Cruise-In and Meeting

Please join us on Friday, February 5th at 7 PM for our monthly cruise-in, at CiCi's Pizza on Battlefield Parkway in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.

Then on Monday, February 15th at 7pm, join us for our monthly meeting at Wally's Restaurant in East Ridge.

January Club Meeting

Don't forget about our monthly Volks Folks club meeting on Monday, January 18th at 7:00 PM. We meet at Wally's Restaurant in East Ridge. All are welcome to attend, we now have less than 100 days to Bug-a-Paluza 12 so there's lots to discuss!

Then on Friday, February 5th join us for our February Cruise-In, at Ci-Ci's Pizza in Fort Oglethorpe. More info on our cruise-in will be released soon.

New Year's Day Cruise

Join us on Friday, Jan 1 for our first annual New Year's Day Cruise. We'll be meeting at the Sportsman's Warehouse parking lot at 10 am at the corner of 153 and Lee Highway and then following the Road Captain to an undisclosed location. There we'll have lunch and then cruise back home with plenty of time to watch the game.

In case of inclement weather on Friday, the cruise will be postponed until the next clear Saturday.

Christmas Party

25th Annual Share Your Christmas Food Drive

For the 11th year in a row, the Scenic City Volks Folks will be participating in the Channel 3 Share Your Christmas Food Drive. This important event brings in hundreds of thousands of pounds of food for people all across the Chattanooga area.

It will be held on Wednesday, December 9th. Meet us in the parking lot at Coker Tire downtown at 5:00 PM and we will cruise to the First Tennessee Pavilion around 5:30.

After the food drive, we will cruise to Moe's Southwest Grill on Gunbarrel Road to eat.

We hope you will join us this year and help Share Your Christmas with the Scenic City Volks Folks.

Parade Season

It's that special time of season again...time for parades!

Our club will be participating in two this year. First, the Red Bank parade on Friday, December 4. We'll be meeting up at Scenic City Scooters at 5:15 PM and then drive to the staging area. The parade starts at 6:00 PM.

After the parade, we'll cruise to the Dairy Queen on Highway 153 for our monthly cruise-in.

Then on Saturday, December 5th we'll be participating in the MAINx24 parade. Please let us know if you plan to attend by leaving us a message on Facebook or in our forums if you'd like to attend so we can get a count.

Please come out and have a good time with us!

It's November!

Join us in November for some great VW get togethers.

Our November cruise-in has a new location for the winter months. It will be held on Friday, November 6th at 7:00 PM at the Dairy Queen in Hixson at 7:00 PM.

Then on Saturday, November 7th at 3:00 PM the Cool Breeze VW Club in Cleveland is having a cruise-in as well.

Finally our November club meeting will be held on Monday, November 16th at 7:00 PM at Wally's in East Ridge.
