got a peep mirror for the volksrod today, the guy's house i went to had a 67 belvadere all origanal including the paint,  also got the roof off the rod painted

volks rod is at my house now, couple more panals painted and the rear sway bar removed,  parts ordered, rear whell cylinders and brake lines and a super beetle speedo cable, i was under the impression that they were longer and would reach the extended front end

trying to figure out lowering the rear, the 62 was one outer and i cant decide whether to go one outer or one inner, was thinking the outer notch moved it a little futher than the inner spline

probably one inner then, dont want to get too low, got my needed list, including front turn signals, rear tail lights and mounts, generator, fuel pump, plug wires, trans mount,  lower engine studs to mount to the trans, think they are m10 x 1.5,some sort of tires, prob make my own white walls, coil, air cleaner, wireing and fuel stuff, brake fluid resevior, and possibly some other stuff and she will be ready to go

made a lot of progress today, doing some picking. found alot of parts i needed,  did a little painting,  lowered one side of the rear one inner notch, painted my first white wall,  gouged my thumb with the grinder,

little less productive today, most of the car is now black, need to mask the door windows off and paint there,  started welding the brace for the gas tank and cut out the old mount to make room for the steering linkage

lacking ignition switch and brake fluid resovior(sp) got the other side lowered, got one side of the wheel cylinder installed
