I took one off a 68. I think I still have it if anyone needs it... Looked like more a british 'fix' than a german one....

got the other side on today, worried about the tie rod clearing, it was hitting the extender, thought about hitting the forums, would i have to bend it?,  then i relized the thing is in the air and everthing will change once it is on the ground and it did.  I will have to cut some more metal to lower it more and to be able to hook the steering linkage up.

I'm glad you kept the VW beam.
I want to build one of these one day.
Looking good,

so far today sanded and painted around the side windows, got the rubber kit out relized i have the 2 side windows that are correct, looks like 2 side windows that are too small, another window seal that is way to long,  nothing a razor and some windsheild adhisive wont fis, thats what you get when u pay 15 for a rubber kit.  also, used a trowel and card board box to get all the trash out of the car, got a idea on how to mount the gas tank,  making new brakets and flipping it around
