Drove the Cabbie to work today... Mocked up my direct bolt-on Western Turbines for Kermit... Good day, just have to polish them up and put some rubber on them... KC

I replaced all the vacuum lines (big ones as well) last weekend and reset the timing (was idleing at 12 deg. ATDC instead of the 5 deg. Wow it is running sooo much better. I checked and advance maxes out at 28-30 BTDC.) Any way can do 70 on flat interstate with 1/3 throttle. Nice. Uphill on interstate 70 with 2/3 throttle. -ordered a higher flow exhaust for it and some new side mirrors, driver's is broken. Ordered a front white spare tire cover, going to put on a Kermit face with the phrase "It isn't easy being green." over his head. KC

Seriously thinking about squeezing in the 2.0 I got from Rick into the Ghia. I have ordered a book on how to paste up some T4 tins to work with a 36 HP shroud. Rick gave me a 2.0 with the bus shell as well as a Porsche 1.7 that needs to be relocated to another block ( I have a bus 1.7 block as well). Any one on here done this? If I do this, I might just leave the Ghia Pink, and name it Screaming Pinky - nahh. I'll still paint it! LOL, KC

Traded Kermit for a 2000 GTI VR6. So far I l really like it! Does this make my butt look big? Needs some little knobs and such but has the Riccaro looking leather seats and is a 5 spd. More when I have owned it more than 24 hours.... KC

I know, he paid $600+ to get that and some coolant stuff done. It's gonna need rims (I like Detroits...), and some interior tidbits, but it runs out really well. KC

I have the R& M bus that I am looking for a rusted field find late bay to strip all the necessary parts I need off of to resurrect it. Then I have "Pinky" the Ghia. I have almost all the parts neccessary to put it together and expect to have it done by the fall. Going to go the Type IV 2L in it though. (I have a 1600 to go if the T4 is too big for me...) But for runners, yes I'm all H2O now... :'( KC

Some of my personal favorites that I ever PDI'd at the dealership was a run of "late in the model year" VR6 GTIs that came in all together... Those cars were a LOT of fun... I just can't give a full description to tell just how much fun... I like your "Does this make my butt look big?" comment, BTW....

Gonna Black out the rest of the car (side lights, etc.) Remove the VR6 and GTI chrome letters on the back, get a black VW logo for the back. The only sticker it will sport is a Really Dark Charcoal Darth Vader Tie Fighter Logo... Just cause I'm a Star Wars Geek & I think it'll look cool and go with the whole VW / Starwars love fest that is going on right now... A little something like that but in dark grey and only about 4" around. KC
