Cold it was at 66 degrees , the possible problems for the fault are short on the wire harness or the solenoid harness, I am pretty sure I do not have any wires shorted together in harness, so I am thinking the harness, I only see 5 mvb in the Tcm

Got the foil strip out, some of the plastic ends were cracked, it looks like the metal clips that hold the connectors would cause a short, I don't understand if I am testing it right, I don't think they should have resistance with the harness unplugged but they do

Broke down and ordered the new strip, thought about taking it to smelly cat and see if he could solider some romex together for a patch

+ 20 points for pulling in a pertinent SC reference... KC He could have got double the points if he would have thrown in a lengthy justification for why he thought it might work...

Back to the drawing board the strip did not fix the issue, don't think that the solenoids could be causing the fault, was wanting to get it to bp to possibly camp. Still getting solenoid wires shorted together

What about the connector for the harness? I thought I remember John saying something about that being a problem? Or did you already fix that? Hal would say to check the grounds...

I spliced a new connector in, but I am thinking maybe I got the wires wrong I have triple checked it, but I will have to go back over it again, damn auto trans!

Disconnect the wiring at the TCM and the valve body and then check the wires for shorts to each other. Make sure that you don't have any broken wires on the TCM end of the harness and also check each wire for continuity. There should be a pinout for the round plug going to the valve body in the repair manual, don't just go by wire color. Oh, and clean the grounds
