Dead of Winter Campout

The annual Dead of Winter campout will be at Cloudland Canyon State Park on the weekend of February 6-8. Potluck Saturday night so bring a dish, scenic hikes, and more. Hosted by Peach State Transporters.

I suspect the dates are wrong on Facebook. It should be Friday thru Sunday, the 6th, 7th, and 8th.

Planning on leaving Friday after work, Anthony and I discussed meeting up and cruising there together (although it isn't a long trip). Post up if you'd like to join. This was definitely an enjoyable campout last year.

Well I was the only one here who attended although Nick and Megan came to visit for a little bit on Saturday night. There was a couple of Airstreams, a handful of Vanagons, a split window, and a couple of Sportsmobile conversion Ford vans.
The weather couldn't be better. Low 40s at night and early 60s in the afternoon. Made for some excellent hikes down the canyon and to the waterfalls. I took a bunch of photos:
