They could just throw a VW logo on the front and a Dasher emblem on the back . . . most people can't remember what a Dasher looked like anyway . . . and most of those who do are trying to forget.

Nope that one's still there.... yours looks a lot better, Fielding. Sitting outside for years hasn't done that one a lot of good... I am pretty sure about this since we were just there a couple weeks ago. Saw that one, and three others including the "split" Herbie in action during the stunt show. The kids (me included) loved that.

Hey Rick, since you are planning on off-loading the cutaway engine, hows about a cutaway beetle?!?!?!
First and second pics are the derbie herbie Third is a race car herbie like the one in Fully Loaded Fourth and fifth are the split herbie for after the "crash" in the action show.
