Information on events here is taken directly from our web forums, but you can also contact us directly to let us know about something that should be listed here.

Cool Breeze VW Club DQ cruise-in
July 4, 2009
Cool Breeze VW Club will be having our DQ cruise-in on Saturday, July 4th at the Dairy Queen, Paul Huff Pkwy, Cleveland, TN on July 4 starting at about 5 or 6 pm.
Even though we are an all air-cooled VW club all are welcome to bring any kind of car and hang out with us.
Great food, cars and friends!! We'll hang out until we get tired and leave. So come by and see us!

Bug'n in July
July 18, 2009 to July 19, 2009The North Alabama VW Club is hosting their 10th annual Bug'n in July VW show, July 18-19, 2009 at Point Mallard Park in Decatur, AL. General admission is free. Show cars and vendors are $15 pre-registered, $20 at the gate.

July Club Meeting
July 20, 2009Please join us on Monday, July 20th for our monthly club meeting. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM.
Once again, please note the new location for this meeting. It will be held in the community meeting room at the Hamilton YMCA on Shallowford Road. We no longer meet at Ryan's Steakhouse.
The meeting room is located to the left as you walk in, past the Memorial entrance. There will be signs posted to help you find your way.
No food will be served at the meeting. Feel free to eat before you come, or stop somewhere and bring your own food. There's plenty of restaurants on Gunbarrel Road. See you there!

Located at 1655 Federal Dr.,the Alabama State Farmer's Market is next to the Coliseum and State Fairgrounds and a Hardee's is on the corner! Show hours are 8 am to 4 pm.
There will be Vendors and Swap spaces, games for the kids and best of all, COVERED PARKING for show vehicles! To be sure you get a space under the roof, you need to pre-register by emailing w_dykes@att.net They take Paypal payments or checks.
After the Meltdown, we will cruise into Montgomery for a local Cruise-In Nite at Flip's Grill at the corner of Vaughn and Taylor Rds. We had a big turnout of VWs there in years past. It is open to all makes of vehicles.

East Coast Bavarian Run
September 12, 2009Saturday, September 12th the East Coast Bavarian Run will start at 8:30 AM at the site of the VW factory at Enterprise South, and will leave destined for Helen, GA for Oktoberfest. There will be a brief stop on Highway 64 at the Ocoee Olympic Rec. center.

-Drag Race Starting Fields & Match Ups will be determined by
a random drawing prior to the start of the event.
The Drag Races will be Double Elimination!!
-Oval Track Race starting line up will be determined by Heat Races. We will start 8 VW’s in each Heat Race, with the top TBD VW’s advancing into the Feature out of each Heat Race.
-The starting field for the Feature race will consist of /12 VW’s that had advanced out of the Heat Races.
-Participants must wear Seatbelts, Helmets & closed Toe Shoes.
-All race entries must register & sign a release prior to participating in any race events.
-All race vehicles will be safety inspected prior to being allowed to participate in any events.
Race Event Entry Fees: $15.00 per event entered.
Multiple Race Entry $10.00 per event.

21st annual Pasco Bug Jam
November 8, 2009 to November 8, 2009The 21st annual Pasco Bug Jam will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 at the Pasco County Fairgrounds, 36722 State Road 52, Dade City, FL. With more than 500 entries last year, the Bug Jam is documented as the largest Volkswagen show in the Southeast. There are also more than 100 new and used parts vendors, VW toys and collectibles, entertainment, live auction, and food. All proceeds benefit non-profit organizations. Show entry is $25 and includes 2 admissions, t-shirt, dash plaque, and goody bag. Gate admission is $5 for adults, plus a can of food. Parking is $2.
